Craftsmanship
Cashmere comes from the undercoat of the Capra Hircus goat, raised semi-free on the highlands of Inner Mongolia, where temperatures swing from -50°C to +45°C. That range is what produces a fibre at once fine, light and insulating: cashmere regulates temperature rather than simply keeping you warm, and it retains its suppleness and strength despite its fineness.
In spring, the herders comb the down by hand, then sort the locks one by one. We keep only the longest, finest fibres.
The yarn is twisted to the diameter of a needle's eye, knitted, then linked so that no seam shows. All our cashmere is certified to The Good Cashmere Standard, and every component of the garment is tested to Oeko-Tex Standard 100. The designs themselves are created in France.

- 2 plyA fine knit, for mid-seasons and lighter pieces.
- 4 filsThe most common weight. Warm without bulk, worn all winter.
- 6 plyA dense knit, volume and structure for the coldest days.
Certifications and traceability
The Good Cashmere StandardAn independent standard governing the treatment of the goats, herd health and herders' conditions. Our yarns are checked against this framework.
Oeko-TexEvery component of the garment is tested for harmful substances: the yarn, the dye, the label and the seams.
100% Mongolian cashmereThe yarn comes from Inner Mongolia, where the goats live semi-free. The down is combed by hand in spring, then sorted lock by lock.
Ethically madeManufacturing that respects people and animals, at every stage of production.
Ultra-soft feelLong, fine fibres selected for incomparable softness and lasting shape, season after season.
Colours
Cashmere is born in three colours: grey, brown and white. White is the one that accepts every shade. Dyeing is done in the mass, before spinning, which gives an even tone right through the core of the fibre rather than on the surface.
The palette is built season after season: more than 150 colours, some returning from one year to the next, others passing through only once.

Care
Cashmere likes water. Hand washed in lukewarm water with a mild soap and no fabric softener, it softens rather than wears out. Press without wringing, dry flat, store folded and never on a hanger.
Let the piece rest for two or three days between wears and it regains its shape. Pilling forms where the fabric rubs: a cashmere comb is enough, and it lessens with each wash.
A cedar ball in the wardrobe keeps moths at bay.
